Maquillaje FX

I don't know if you'll realize, but there are quite variety about what I make, today I show you something that I made this afternoon: my first makeup FX test.

The materials that I used have been "take whatever you can and let's go" because where I should use fake blood or body makeup, I've used cheap temperas, some of normal base makeup for face and talcum powder. Even hadn't a little sponge to spread the liquid latex, I used a brush (I cleaned it well after use) and I painted all between that same brush and my fingers. At least I had tweezers to create the injury once all is dried and the smooth and thin paper.
But, I mean with all this, you haven't to have everything exactly as appear in tutorials (if you do, much better), but you can made some tinkering.

The summarized process has been the next one:

- Thin base of latex over the skin (ensure there are no hairs).
- First layer of thin and smooth paper.
- Base of latex.
- Second layer of paper.
- (This process repeats until have about 6, 7 or 8 layers).
- Wait until it's dry.
- From here I made it  as my memory led me after watch several makeup FX tutorials in Youtube.
- Some talcum podwer over the latex to smooth it and become less sticky.
- With a tweezers pull up the middle and make the wound.
- I painted all sides with makeup base.
- I painted with a dark tone of blood the inside of the wound.
- "Imagination power" (as I was testing it, I didn't watch any reference photo or something, I painted the blood and the bruises as I thought convenient). All that have to be with blood I painted with temperas.
- Wait to it's dry and ready.

Inconvenients:
You can realize it's fake when the materials gets dry, fake blood (homemade or bought) could be better. Another problem is that a few minutes after the wound is dryed, with movements it starts to separate itself from the edges, so the fake sensation increase (this occure to me because I don't control very well the subject).

Conclusion:
It's well or wrong made, I just can tell you that I had so much fun making it and I want to learn more about this and to practice it. I already have started it because makeup FX is something that I need to use it in the short film that I want to make  :)

Here a simple of how it's result:
